I had the pleasure of travelling yesterday on this great railtour by Pathfinder Tours over the Heart of Wales route. My table and dining companions proved to be two elegant ladies from Westbury having a jolly girls day out. This is very different from the male gricers usually encountered.
Due to various technical hitches we departed Shewsbury 45 late, but arrived Westbury 15 early. The 2 x 37 clearly did very well together with some effective train regulation. My final impression from the car park at Westbury was that one of the 37s on departure sounded very rough. I hope they made it back to base without any hitches.

Passing Norton Bavant this morning en route to Shrewsbury - sounded even better than it looked !
