They've refused a 4.5% pay offer.....

I understand that the average train driver’s salary on the line is £72,465 for a 34-hour, four-day week - which would have risen by £3,261 to £75,726 under the proposed 4.5%.

I'm not sure it'll attract too much public sympathy, and 4.5% is comfortably above CPI.

Is this dispute about more than money?

NEW: strike action on the Elizabeth Line scheduled for 27/02 and 01/03 is suspended following a revised offer from the company, which ASLEF's executive committee will meet to consider tomorrow.

You're welcome, there was a further update yesterday too, which is:

NEW: All planned strikes on Elizabeth Line now cancelled.

ASLEF's executive committee has considered the improved pay offer from MTR Elizabeth Line and accepted the new offer. Strikes planned for 27/02, 01/03, 08/03 and 10/03 are therefore cancelled.
