1: Irrespective of the nameplate on the wall, I thought it is called 'Severn Bridge Junction' signalbox.

2: The wrecks of the Arkendale H and Wastdale H in the Severn Estuary, a rather big scar visible that some component of the Severn Rail Bridge made as it landed on them. As they were on a contract delivering fuel for was it the MOD, and broke a structure on the nationalised railway, this was a case of the UK demolishing its own infrastructure. If it had survived, would the Severn Rail Bridge still be in use today though? What would be its utility? I don't know.

Correct.

Interesting thought as to whether the Severn Bridge (the one from Sharpness to Lydney) would have survived commercially if it weren't for its premature demise ...

Edit to correct auto-correct which had moved "Lydney" to Sydney
